So, you know I'm late to the party in starting an email Newsletter to stay connected to the followers of my Medium and Tarot business. It's because I was so freekin' confused, and there seemed to be no simple choice.
So, I put it out there with my guides, in late summer, that I needed to DO this. I needed an email newsletter solution that wasn't going to break the bank, would be easy enough to work with, with free tempates and easy design, so I can finally do this important BUSINESS thing that all responsible business owners are SUPPOSED to do. About a week after I put this out to the Universe, I sat at a Tarot party with a woman who wasn't even originally supposed to be getting a reading at the party, and she told me about Sendfox. (It was a strange thing where her reading turned into us talking about business, and her suggesting this for me when I lamented that I was feeling like I lost out on 10 years of email contacts.) When the Universe speaks, how else is a witch to respond??? I mean, come ooon. So, I looked into it and.... I love it! Sendfox was a one time purchase that has already paid for itself. (I was really having a difficult time thinking about paying for mail chimp every month, forever and ever. You'll break even with Sendfox in about 4 months or so, compared to having to do a monthly payment. That just didn't feel like a good list building strategy.) It's got easy to use templates, and as long as you aren't spamalicious (I stick to one or two links per Newsletter.) It's all I need. It's perfect for content creators who just want to keep in touch, and let people know what the latest offer is. It's from AppSumo, which had a surprise bonus that I wasn't expecting. When you buy SendFox, you also get an AppSumo account... and in the AppSumo back office is a bunch of free classes and courses on all sorts of tech topics. Topics I've seen other people charge you to learn. So, if you are ALSO behind on getting your Newsletter started (and curating an email list to stay in contact with your clients, followers, subscribers, or customers.) I'm backing SendFox.
I went with the lowest plan, because I'm curating a list of folks who will actually engage with the content. I'm less concerned about big numbers, and more interested in just the actual folks who want to open my emails.
It IS a lifetime usage though, so if you are a content creator who expects they'll need more than the minimum, it's worth it. (Don't forget, this is a business write expense you can write off at the end of the year.) I found this to be the perfect platform for me, and the low cost pleases my budget. I put out a newsletter about once a month - I really only have it in place to use with folks incase my social medias get shut down. Having a way to still stay connected is so important to business. It's also easy for your fans or followers to sign up for, and I found it really easy to follow in the back office. I believe in the AppSumo course site, there's even a "how to build your list" class you can take for free. Anyway, this has me feeling MUCH more at ease that I'm not losing contacts that I collect at shows or events (I always do a giveaway draw at events, and ask permission to add folks to my email list.) I've done a LOT of readings for a lot of people over the years, and I wish I had started this sooner! If you have questions, let's connect! I'm always happy to help a fellow tarot reader, medium, or energy worker! Lori-Grace Comments are closed.
