This client was generous enough to volunteer her read reading for me to record, so I could show you all what a reading looks like with me.

She offered it as she sat in my office for her scheduled appointment, so all of this is her actual live read. No script!


This was also the first time I had watched MYSELF give a psychic tarot reading! I was honestly surprised with how much I move my hands. When I'm in the depth of the reading, I see things and I'm moving things around with my hands. Swirling energy or pushing energy aside, sometimes I'm seeing the path and I make my hands walk them, etc.

What I really wanted you to notice was the process - how I ask no questions, but just talked her through her challenge. SHE knows exactly what her challenges are, but I don't have to. All I'm supposed to do is deliver the words that she needs to hear.

It's hard to see on the video, but at times I'm closing my eyes, and mostly I'm not even making eye contact with the client, as I'm looking off to her left and right, while I see the messages delivered.

So, this is probably going to be a bizarre video for those who have been following my Tarot Reading youtube page. But, I feel like it's important to post it for so many reasons.

I felt like it was important to show a part of my real life - so often we only show the easy stuff, the 'love and light' shit. This video is all about the ugly cry, the hurtful truths, facing uncertainty and unknowns, and really, about practicing what you preach.

It often comes up in readings for clients, that it's time to do the SCARY THING. And I deliver that message with calm and compassion, knowing that it's not going to translate out in real life in NEARLY that sort of ease.

So, here's me, living the SCARY THING.

As I type this, I'm 100% unsure how this is going to play out, but I'm also sure that everything works out just like it's supposed to, and ultimately, I will be safe.

Every year I'm offered the Gazebo at the Coldwater Steam Punk festival. It's located at the Museum side, on the other side of the highway from town. The festival arranges a bus to transport guests and visitors back and forth from town to the museum side, as there's lots going on at both sides of the festival.

I do love doing readings in the gazebo. Having to set up a tent to read in sometimes gives me a bit of anxiety. I worry about the wind, and is my tent secure enough? The gazebo is big and breezy and solid, and I can focus on my readings. Usually. There IS a lot going on with all of the costumes and music and events.

I bring a little brass cauldron filled with stones to hold down the cards, in case the breeze gets out of hand! I have a little table set up inside with a few chairs. This year I brought a bunch of my art to sell, as well as some gypsy cards and Angel Oracle cards and some metaphysical new age books. I found that so many people weren't brave enough to come up into the gazebo, so we set up a few little tables on the ground level and had a few things displayed there.

This year I only did 8 readings. That's half of what I normally do. There was some singing and even though the couple performing were across the field, the gazebo just grabbed onto her voice and sent it straight into my brain. I couldn't 'hear' the voices, and I found I was having to yell at the clients across from me. I was sad to have to tell a handful of people who were eager to read with me that I just couldn't do it with the singing going on. They all got a business card and I hoped that they would connect with me here.

I was concerned about giving them the best reading possible. And I knew I couldn't do it when it was just so loud. The readings that happened before that were amazing! But the last lady to sit with me was when the singing was going on, and I couldn't get anything for her. (This disappoints me, too. It rarely happens, but when it does, I am let down too.)

I was doing $10 for 10 minute readings on Saturday. They almost always end up going longer, just because I'm not going to leave someone with half a reading. AND I never bully anyone into paying for another 10 minutes, if there's more message for them from Spirit. That is just not my style.

There were so many costumes and I met so many new people! We had a beautiful day for the event.

My friend Wendy does readings also. Her tent is always set up near mine. She was selling handmade wands as well as some beautiful pendulums. I went to visit her during the day to check in, and give us both a boost half way through the day. It's a funny thing to be working all day in such a busy environment. (For the most part for me, it all feels like fun, but there's always that 2pm "i need a break", when I need a snack and some tea!)

This was my third year at the festival. It's so well organized and is always full of amazing things to see! They had a magician doing tricks (and he was so funny!) as well as some people dressed up as knights and vikings who did a bunch of fighting shows, and there were some shows in a big tent that was set up, with a tonne of music and interpretive dance.

 "I thought you had to meet in person with a reader, so you can make the connection. How do you do readings over the phone or email?"

I've successfully read tarot and done medium readings for people over the phone for over 18 years. It confuses some people how a reader can do an email or phone reading, because you aren't physically sitting with the person.

For me, the way it works, is I picture myself sitting with the person on the phone. Some would call it meditation, I call it daydreaming. Sometimes that's easier for my clients to understand.

So, when you call, I close my eyes and go to the daydream place. I see us sitting together somewhere, and I will often see your guides, too! They will often feed me the messages they've been trying to get to you about your situations, challenges, and life path. The cards are used as my kickstart, really, but then the images and messages just flow to me, and I lay them all out on the line for you through the phone.

I really like to think of that space as the place where time stands still for you and I. It's a safe place, a spiritual space, above the earthly plane. I believe we are all energetic beings, and just like we can connect through wifi and the internet, I believe we can do that with our minds alone. Even if you feel like you don't have any special abilities to do that sort of thing, you CAN open yourself up to allow me to connect with you, for the amount of time we are on the phone together.

I use keen as my preferred platform for phone chat. They are a company that has been around for over 17 years, and are an amazing middleman. I don't see any of your personal information (The only thing I'll ever see is your username if you've registered with the website.) and I like it that way.

My rates are set very low (the lowest that the website will allow. $1.99 a minute. ) and I send free minutes after every paid call of 4 minutes or more. I love staying in touch, and helping with follow up questions after a reading.

I am available by appointment, but I'll also have my phone availability listed so you can make plans to have your questions  ready. I'm based in Midland Ontario, and if you are local and prefer an in person reading, we can do that too! But if you aren't, a phone call is your next best option.
