There's an excitement in purchasing your first tarot deck, but what's the best way to learn how to read the cards, and learn to read them without the need to refer to the little guide book that comes with them?

Working with your cards everyday for a year will help you to learn how to read your new tarot cards, but that's a long road. It's possible to learn the basics and read them without referring to the long notes in as little as 6 weeks.

It's completely possible to learn your cards yourself, but the best way to cut that learning short is to take a class with someone who has done all the years of work and can give you all of the 'cheat notes' to fast track your understanding, and your own intuition. Working together with someone who's figured out many small tricks and can pass those on to you is a short cut to you using your cards intuitively.

Look for a tarot teacher who has created a system that is easy to understand, and has had experience successfully teaching other students how to read tarot. This means they will have fine tuned their program, while knowing how to guide you through learning your tarot deck so you'll be reading the cards in the quickest time possible.

The best way to learn how to read tarot is working 1-on-1 with your tarot teacher and having a tarot class specifically made for the way you learn, is the ideal way to commit to reading your cards. This way, you can learn the deck of your choice, rather than the specific deck they choose to teach. You can also have the course tailored to your specific learning style, and be able to ask questions and get feed back in live time.

However, if you don't have the time to meet with a teacher consistently, taking an online course by a teacher who is still available to you for questions is a great option. With an online video course, you can access your classes at what ever time of day works for you.

The School of Witchery offers a "Learn to Read Intuitive Tarot" class, taught by Lori-Grace. Lori-Grace has taught tarot to individuals and to groups since 2004. Her online Tarot class teaches you in 6 weeks, how to interpret all Minor and Major Arcana, how to read several tarot spreads, and so many little connections and tricks throughout the whole course.

Although the course is on video, as part of the course Lori-Grace offers extra 1-on-1 time to the video students some live meeting time for you to ask extra questions you may have.

Lori-Grace has developed a system of reading and teaching tarot over 26 years, and teaches her students all the tricks and tips that have created her professional and busy tarot practice.

School of Witchery is getting ready to run the group program "Learn to Read Intuitive Tarot", a course that had previously only been offered as a 1-on-1 course with Lori-Grace, The Little Witch. This group class begins the week of June 27th, 2021.

This group tarot program features one hour long Zoom classes, that take place once a week for 6 weeks.

This program also includes a bonus "Study Hall" private facebook group for the students to practice, exchange ideas, and get to know each other!

In addition, since this is the first group session the School is running, the students in this group are being offered a bonus of a half hour of 1-on-1 session with Lori-Grace, so that each student has the opportunity to ask specific questions about the Tarot Decks they've chosen to work with.

Lori-Grace recommends for this class that students choose a Rider-Waite Smith tarot deck to learn from, as this will be the basis of this class.

School of Witchery is based in Midland, Ontario Canada, and will resume in person classes when we are allowed to safely gather again. All classes at this time are offered online, over Zoom, and with access to the School of Witchery website.

For long distance students, in the future, in person classes will also be available online.

Although I also read tarot, when it comes to Medium work, I don't use the Tarot cards at all. I tap into this type of reading in my mind, with my eyes and ears, with my whole self. I'll feel your loved ones, hear them, and see them. Sometimes smell their colognes or work places.

This is usually because our Spirit Guides are incredibly funny. They are the little voice that guides you, and they PICKED you, and are a part of you!

Sometimes we feel our Spirit Guides go quiet, but I found that is much less about them and more about where you are in your experience. If you are stressed out, or participating in the chaos around you,  you may not be able to connect with them. That's where I come in!
