These are the top 3 books I recommend time and time again to New & Experienced Tarot Readers.

I've been reading tarot for over 27 years, and there are a LOT of books out there. What ever deck you choose, be sure to get one that comes with a big book so you can learn the in's and out's of that particular deck. BUT in addition to that book, I recommend Madame Pamita's Magical Tarot for both new and experienced tarot readers.

The focus of this book is teaching you how to use tarot in your everyday witchcraft or spells, which makes it amazing for experienced readers. However, there are so many small digestible hints about each card, that I find it a very good resource for beginners. Lots of little extras about each card in this book.

Ethics in Energy Medicine by Heidi Light is on the required reading list for anyone who takes a class or course with me in learning to read tarot (The Intuitive Tarot Program), or in learning how to grow a tarot business (Tarot Marketing Mastery.)

It's not a very big book but it is packed with some important information that I feel is not addressed enough in most energy work modalities, and in psychic or tarot businesses.

Before you start to worry about marketing, your Instagram account and doing reels, or how you are going to reach more tarot or reiki clients, get this book into your hands.
There are really important lessons on paying attention and staying conscious of using ethics in energy work or metaphysical work for money.

 Although I first read this book as a recommendation for spiritual self help, what has happened through the years is seeing it become the baseline for all the councelling, talk therapy, or guidance that comes with reading tarot or giving energy readings. 

I find a copy of this just about any time I hit a thrift store, but you can buy a newer version on Amazon with chapter notes and follow along questions.

There are parts of it that are a little dated, and at times the author talks about God (I generally changed the word to "The Universe" or "Source" so I could get the message without my past hang ups around the word God. It worked.) but there is some highly recommended info in The Seat of the Soul that can help you round out your readings and respectfully add the element of coaching to your readings.

How to get a Text Message tarot reading for free, and how to use it wisely.

I've been using this system for years - Seriously, about 20 years I've worked with it. They've had this free tarot reading offer for ages, but the trick is that you get 3 minutes, so here's how to use it wisely.

Before you even hit the button for the free reading, have your thoughts in order. What is really the centre of what you'd like to know? What's the most important question to ask and have answered. I know this sounds simple, but if you think about it, you can get your answer in the free session.

Type out your tarot question before hand on the device you're going to use to connect with your IM Tarot reader or psychic. And then COPY it, so that you can paste it into the chat. It makes no sense if you are spending on a per minute basis that you spend half of it typing with your thumbs.

The next thing to do is click the button for your Free Reading. If there's an offer there for 10 minutes for 1.99 (US) take my advice and TAKE IT. Trust me. You'll want to have those extra minutes at a discount to flush out your questions.

When choosing a reader, you absolutely want one that you feel like you connect with, but ALSO, look at their rates. More doesn't necessarily mean better! And also, if you feel like in that moment you NEED more answers, you'll be able to easily add extra minutes in a manner that fits into your budget.

I log on when I'm compelled to on this site for text readings, and seriously sit here and pull tarot cards for you, and then type out what the cards and your guides have to say on it.

I don't use a talk to text program. I type about 75 words per minute. I have the cards pre shuffled, and cut them and lay them out quickly when you drop your question. So there's no super long pauses for shuffling during these IM readings.

Sometimes these are called DM Tarot readings also, but if you are accessing it on your phone it's really does work just like and Instant Message or a Text Message.

This usually isn't the preferred method of getting a reading for most folks. But there are times when a text message reading works best.

• If you want the maximum privacy for yourself (As the reader, we are given no details about you when your IM pops up.)
