I'm a tarot teacher, and had someone ask me today if all the tarot decks have the same cards in them? I took the lovers card out of a few of the decks I own and teach, to show you the difference about how they read from different decks.
If they are based on the traditional Rider-Waite (Smith) they will have all the same cards, BUT in different decks they are going to speak a little differently from deck to deck.
Shown today is The Lovers Card from :
The Druid Craft Tarot
The Morgan Greer Tarot
The Deviant Moon Tarot
The Wild Wood Tarot
They have some similarities, but will read differently, and this will change your reading.
The deck you choose for reading for yourself or clients, will give you a completely different message. If you pick up a 'how to read tarot' book, it's going to give you very general meanings, and most likely not speak directly to the deck that you have purchased and have fallen in love with.
When I teach my students, it's a specially made program just for YOU, your learning style, and I teach you the tarot deck that you are drawn to read, so that you get the meanings of YOUR deck off by heart and intuitively. This makes the readings that you give UNIQUE to you!
I teach people how to read tarot intuitively, so they can confidently read for themselves, friends, and even paid clients, without the pain of memorizing pages and pages of information!

This client was generous enough to volunteer her read reading for me to record, so I could show you all what a reading looks like with me.
She offered it as she sat in my office for her scheduled appointment, so all of this is her actual live read. No script!
This was also the first time I had watched MYSELF give a psychic tarot reading! I was honestly surprised with how much I move my hands. When I'm in the depth of the reading, I see things and I'm moving things around with my hands. Swirling energy or pushing energy aside, sometimes I'm seeing the path and I make my hands walk them, etc.
What I really wanted you to notice was the process - how I ask no questions, but just talked her through her challenge. SHE knows exactly what her challenges are, but I don't have to. All I'm supposed to do is deliver the words that she needs to hear.
It's hard to see on the video, but at times I'm closing my eyes, and mostly I'm not even making eye contact with the client, as I'm looking off to her left and right, while I see the messages delivered.
This is recorded in my small office in Midland Ontario, which is near Barrie Ontario, but if you live long distance from there, you can do a phone reading with me!
I just got my hands on my July schedule for my out-of-the house gigs, and July is giving me lots of openings for Tarot and Medium readings.
Monday and Wednesdays are looking very good, although weekdays aren't always the most convenient for some. Through the week I have some mornings and alternately some afternoons.
Saturday appointments will be hit or miss through the month of July. For the most part on Saturdays, I will be at the Midland Country MARKET on Balm Beach Road and hwy 93, in front of the Water Stop. Depending on the weather, I may just be selling items and taking bookings, or have a table set up with my cards doing 10 minute readings.
My July appointment calendar has been updated for in person readings in the office in Midland.
If you are long distance from me, I will have some specific dates to do phone readings, and email readings are done once a week ( unless I can get to them sooner. )
It's nearly New Years Eve as I sit and write. We're in the funny spot, the week between Christmas and New Years, where I have a challenging time remembering what day it is and where I'm supposed to be... more so than usual.
I've been watching a LOT of the show Outlander, which feels like a holiday indulgence... sitting and watching Netflix, with no spellwork embroidery in my hands. It's making me think a lot about time travel, and magic, my herb work that I've put aside for family festivities. It's got me thinking about the year to come.
This is the time of year that I get a lot of reading requests for what's coming up in the new year. 2018 feels like it's going to be special, that it's made for personal victories for the individual, if you are ready to be patient with yourself through the healings that will be presented.
Those healings will look different for everyone, and will be tailored to put you just beyond your comfort zone. But, just passed that fine line awaits some beautiful reward.
That's what 2018 is feeling like, for me. That's the messages I get from The Dudes. (My spirit guides. They picked me. They know me. haha.)
Another thing that I'm finding I'm doing quite a bit lately is attracting more and more people who are just starting with their own gifts, but don't know what the next step is. Those conversations have been very individual, too. No two witches, or druids, or seers, or readers are alike. I sit and get the messages for the individual with how to proceed with their own growth with their gifts.
The beauty of January and February, for me, is that the air is somehow quieter, the energy is more still. It makes it easier to get crisp and clear messages . There's something more relaxed for me, with readings, at this time of year. I nestle in. There's no long distance drives to Barrie or Orillia for home party tarot readings, less call for bachelorette or home party readings. This leaves me cozy in my office for individual readings.
As always, you can book a personal "what's coming up this year" style reading with me in my office, in Midland Ontario, but we can always do a phone reading, too, if you live long distance from me.
However, if you are also someone who feels like you've got a gift and you don't know how to use it, it would be my pleasure to help guide you through the next steps in your growth. Learning to read cards, learning to perform Reiki, learning to connect with your own spirit guides are all things I can help with!
Happy New Year!
When ever I get inquiries for email readings or in person readings, I always stress to the client to word their question in such a way that gives us both focus, WITHOUT giving your tarot reader any back story or hints. Personally I feel like even a little bit of information can make me feel like I'm cheating.
I like to read as 'blind' as possible, but still give you the option of asking the question that is on your mind.
It is helpful for you to give the reader some sort of question if you truly aren't looking for a general life read. Why? With my readings, I find my guides like to give the spiritual answer. They will always move straight to the spiritual reason for what's happening in your life, and often that's not what I find my clients are in search of!
I find good questions begin with considering what
has been the first thing on your mind to solve, or something that has just been sticking with you. the thought or situation that just won't quit.
The idea here is to pretend that you've already had ALL the story telling with the reader you are sitting down with. You shouldn't have to explain anything. It's the tarot cards job to tell you the answer to your question. I also think it's my job to give you as many confirmations as I can about what it is that you are thinking about, so we know we're in the right place.
We then call this THING on your mind, "the situation."
then, you can form your question using a "who, what, where, when, why" beginning:
"What is most important to know about this situation?"
"What is the best path to follow in this situation?"
"Am I already on the right path?"
"Where can I expect this path to lead?"
"When should I make the change that I'm thinking of?"
"What am I supposed to be learning spiritually from this situation?"
"What is the path of least resistance in this situation?"
"Who is it that I should be looking for?"
"What is the path for the greatest good in this situation?"
"What will happen If I change something in this situation?""What will happen if I do nothing in this situation?""What can I expect as a touchable world outcome in this situation?" (as opposed to spiritual world.)
"should I take action?""Do I chose A or B?"
"If I chose A or B, what is the outcome?"
"How will I know when it is time to take action?"
Questions worded in this way help get us to the heart of your inquiry, without giving the tarot reader any hints.
I hope this note helps you get the most out of your reading, and also helps you feel confident in your choice of readers.
I look forward to reading for you!
